
In addition to its accredited professional training the School offers a range of popular short courses in Acting for those 18+ who are looking to explore their performance potential. The courses cater for everyone from beginners to those who are considering acting careers in a supportive and fun environment
In 2012 following classes will be offered:
Intro to Acting
(8 weeks $230.00)
Monday or Wednesday 7.30 – 9.30 pm
If you’ve never acted before, or only done plays in kindergarten or primary school, this class is a great place to start. Working with an experienced tutor you will be encouraged to let your imagination run free and unlock the sources of your creativity – no need to be nervous, everyone’s coming from the same place! So jump in, have fun and see what happens!

Acting 1
(10 weeks $340.00)

After the Intro course, or if you’ve done something equivalent, you’ll probably be ready to start working with text and developing scripted performances. Acting 1 will give you experience in using your vocal and physical skills to embody the words on a page as living characters, interacting with others to tell a humorous, dramatic or touching story.

Sunday 2.00 – 4.30 pm
Acting 2 is primarily a scene-study workshop. It assumes that you have some performance experience and are interested in developing and finessing your acting skills. Participants may decide to work towards a workshop presentation for an invited audience in the last week or so or they may prefer to continue developing their rehearsal skills.
